Notification of Railway ALP 2024:
On January 20, 2024, the Indian Railways published a preliminary announcement in the Employment News Paper regarding 5696 Assistant Loco Pilot openings across all Railway Recruitment Boards. The RRB ALP 2024 registration period commenced on January 20, 2024, and the application deadline was February 19, 2024. A computer-based test will be used to make the initial selection.
Salary of an RRB Assistant Loco Pilot:

Criteria for RRB Assistant Loco Pilot Eligibility:
Age Limit:
Minimum age requirement: 18 years; Maximum age limit: 30 years; Age limit as of July 1, 2024; Upper age relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC (NCL), and others as permitted.
Qualifications for Education:
The following trades are required of candidates: Fitter, Electrician, Instrument Mechanic, Millwright/Maintenance Mechanic, Mechanic (Radio & TV), Electronics Mechanic, Mechanic (Motor Vehicle), Wireman, Tractor Mechanic, Armature & Coil Winder, Mechanic (Diesel), Heat Engine, Turner, Machinist, Refrigeration & Air-Conditioning Mechanic. (SSLC plus ITI). As an alternative, course completion and apprenticeship in the aforementioned trades along with matriculation or SSLC are also allowed.
A three-year diploma in mechanical, electrical, electronics, or automobile engineering, or a mix of different streams of these engineering disciplines from an accredited university, can be obtained in lieu of an ITI through matriculation or SSLC.
(3) Note: A degree in the mentioned Engineering disciplines will also be acceptable in lieu of a Diploma in Engineering.
